Job summary

Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join as Emergency Department Nursing Supervisor. You will supervise and coordinate nursing care in the ED, ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to policies while providing clinical leadership.

The role requires 2+ years ED experience and leadership experience; shift is 3pm–11pm, five days per week with weekends; must cover at least four weekend shifts per month.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience in the profession required
• 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care delivery in the Emergency Department according to policies.
• Monitors patient flow and staff performance to improve care delivery.
• Performs regular rounding on patients and staff in the Emergency Department.
• Addresses staffing needs for upcoming shifts and ensures coverage.
• Acts as a clinical resource for staff and coordinates operations.
• Maintains attendance and complies with policies and procedures.
