Job summary

Tanner Hospital in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on day shifts. The RN will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes while supervising RNs, LPNs, and nurse techs as appropriate.

Licensure in Alabama or a multistate license, CPR, and required certifications are noted. ACLS/NRP/PALS/BLS may be required within stated timeframes after hire.

Qualifications

• ALABAMA REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE OR MULTISTATE NURSING LICENSE.
• HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, Float Pool.
• NRP within 6 months of hire into Nursery and L&D.
• PALS within one year of hire in PACU.
• BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions and supervises other RNs, LPNs, and other assistive personnel in nursing care.
• Supervises and directs work of other RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Techs as appropriate.
