Job summary

Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift (Fri–Sun, 7 pm–7 am) with added weekend compensation. The ER handles trauma and high-acuity cases in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications, assist physicians, and document thoroughly. Patient education and infection control are emphasized; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in state or compact state required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
