Job summary

Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide professional nursing care, triage when qualified, and ongoing assessment and delegation to ensure patient safety and timely treatment.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, NC or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, with preferred certification in CEN/CCRN/TNCC and experience in CCU/ED settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current and valid NC or compact state Registered Nurse license to practice professional nursing.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS and PALS Certification (required at first opportunity after hire)
• Required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to all age groups and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients while in the Emergency Department.
• May perform Triage after documentation of appropriate education.
• The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, reassessing, and delegation of patients while in the Emergency Department.
