Job summary

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, AL seeks a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department. This full-time day shift covers weekends (Friday–Sunday) with a focus on patient-centered care, safe, efficient triage and treatment.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver compassionate care and participate in performance improvement activities. The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program, an Alabama RN license, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold Alabama RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, develops care plans, monitors progress, and advocates for patients and families.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate competency in care delivery and equipment use.
• Functions as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, coordinating care with the team.
• Models professional behavior while upholding hospital policies and ethics.
• Maintains complete, compliant patient records and safety standards.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and mentoring.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts and evidence-based practice.
• Maintains organized work area and supports operational excellence.
