Job summary

UPMC Altoona is hiring an RN Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department for a .9 full-time schedule, day/evening shifts, with six weekend shifts every 6 weeks and holiday rotation. Shifts run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week.

The position is a union role (SEIU) offering competitive pay reflecting education and experience, a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible nurses, and tuition assistance with loan repayment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current PA nursing license and complete orientation.
• Ability to maintain competency validation and adapt to nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, administer medications and IV therapy.
