Job summary

UPMC Altoona is hiring an RN Staff Nurse in the 12 Cardiology unit. The position is .9 FTE on a day/night rotation including weekends and holidays, with shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (36 hours per week). Union SEIU.

Starting pay reflects BSN or non-BSN education, with potential sign-on bonuses and loan repayment options. Candidates must hold PA nursing licensure, complete orientation, and maintain certifications (ACLS, BLS/CPR, NIH Stroke Scale).

Qualifications

• Must hold a current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.
• Must satisfactorily complete the Nursing Department's orientation program and probationary period.
• CPR/ACLS/BLS and related certifications required per policy.
• RN license and eligibility under applicable state laws (PA).

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Care using nursing protocols and document procedures safely.
• Assess and reassess patient and family needs and update plans.
• Plan and coordinate care with patients, families and teams.
