Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and other medical care activities.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
