Job summary

The Medical West Freestanding ER in Hoover, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency services.

Minimum qualifications include an Alabama RN license, BLS (within 30 days), ACLS, PALS, and at least 1 year in ER or critical care. Preference for EHR proficiency and strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Alabama.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Minimum 1 year ER or critical care experience.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
