Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Services in a fast-paced ED environment. The role emphasizes high-quality, timely care and collaboration with experienced providers and supportive colleagues to deliver patient-centered outcomes.

The position requires an Associate's degree in nursing with BCLS; ACLS/PALS preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Two to three years of experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and specimen collection.
• Monitors and documents patient condition for team communication.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates education needs and provides instruction tailored to age and culture.
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
