Job summary

Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team to assess, treat, and manage patient needs.

The role requires ACLS, BLS, NVCI within specified timeframes, an RN license with an Associate Degree, and RN-Pediatric certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• ACLS, BLS, NVCI must be obtained within specified timelines
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent within 1 year
• PALS/EM Nursing Certification as applicable
• PRN position with scheduling flexibility

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and care team.
• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management with timely reassessments.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care, including lifestyle changes.
