Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a per diem, flexible schedule. You will provide direct and indirect patient care with compassion and respect, communicating any changes in patient condition to the attending physicians.

You may be asked to float to different units as needed. Qualified candidates hold a current NV nursing license, ACLS and BLS, PALS within six months, and have at least 2.5 years of ER experience.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license.
• ACLS and BLS certificates.
• PALS certificate to be obtained within six months of employment.
• At least 2.5 years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes, consulting specialists as needed and adjusting care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across age groups and reassess per policy.
• Utilize triage process to deliver timely and appropriate care and correctly assign triage categories.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment.
