Job summary

North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, TX is seeking an experienced Emergency nurse to join our ED team. The selected candidate will commit to 2 years and receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus, disbursed as $2,500 at 90 days, $2,500 at 180 days, and $5,000 at 2 years.

This role provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department, coordinating with other disciplines to meet patient needs. The ideal candidate will perform comprehensive assessments, manage triage and pain control,

Qualifications

• ED nursing experience required.
• Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments.
• Proficient in triage and pain management.
• Strong communication with ED physicians and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients.
• Utilize triage process to prioritize care.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patient and family.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias.
• Perform waived point-of-care testing as policy requires.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and age-appropriate administration.
• Ensure patient safety and reduce healthcare errors.
• Address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Interact professionally with patients and families in planning care.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and functioning.
• Assist in cost containment through prudent use of supplies.
