Job summary

NTMC is seeking an experienced Emergency nurse to join our team for a 2-year commitment. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid in installments over 90 days, 180 days, and at 2 years. Full-time night shift, 7p-7a, with duties spanning comprehensive patient assessments, triage, pain management, and critical care support.

The role emphasizes safe patient care, collaboration with physicians and staff, and ongoing performance improvement activities within the Emergency Department.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC certification within first 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within one year of hire.
• CEN certification preferred.
• Two years of critical care or emergency nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess per policy.
• Use triage to ensure timely and appropriate care; assign triage categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results; recognize dysrhythmias.
