Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong interdisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centered care.

The role requires at least 1 year of critical care RN experience, BLS, and the ability to obtain ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI within 90 days of hire. Connecticut RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program; BSN preferred.
• One year critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required; ability to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Current CT RN license in good standing.
• Certified Emergency Nurse or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in the ED under supervision of the Nurse Manager.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies and comply with hospital policies and safety standards.
