Job summary

Backus Hospital in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a 12-bed unit as part of Hartford HealthCare. You will support patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and operate within the ED environment, using the nursing process to plan and deliver care.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 1 year of critical care experience, and current CT RN licensure, with sign-on bonuses and shift details noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required. Able to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Able to obtain and maintain administration of moderate sedation within 9 months of hire.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams under the Nurse Manager guidance.
• Develop and implement care plans to address physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural needs.
