Backus Hospital in Connecticut seeks a registered nurse for the Emergency Department with a focus on patient-centered care. You will work under the Nurse Manager, applying evidence-based practices to develop and implement care plans tailored to each patient and their family.

The role requires 1 year of critical care experience, BLS, and CT RN licensure. You may pursue ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI within 90 days, with opportunities for sedation administration training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain/moderate sedation administration within 9 months of hire.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license in good standing.
• Certifications preferred: CEN, CPN or NRP.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Develop plans of care using the nursing process to meet patient needs.
• Adhere to the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
