Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at our Elmira, NY campus. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment, delivering rapid assessments, treatments, and education to patients and families.

The role requires NYS licensure (or eligibility), BLS and ACLS, and the ability to work night shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure, limited permit or eligible.
• BLS & ACLS required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
• Educate patient and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
• Work with other interdisciplinary teams
