Job summary

Arnot Health in Elmira, NY is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic ED, perform rapid assessments, administer medications, monitor cardiac status, and document care in the EHR.

The role requires NYS nursing licensure (or eligibility), and BLS/ACLS either current or obtained within 30 days. Evening shifts with weekend rotation, and a $25k sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure, limited permit or eligible.
• BLS & ACLS Required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
• Educate patient and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
• Work with other interdisciplinary teams.
