Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in McDonough, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED/ER) full-time night shift. You will provide direct patient care in telemetry, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with physicians.

Required: state RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, ER experience; BSN preferred; CEN preferred; sign-on bonus of $15,000; competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year ER nurse experience in acute care; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and direct patient/family teaching.
• Communicate patient changes to physicians and coordinate with other staff in Telemetry.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance and reporting of abuse to appropriate agencies; protect patient privacy.
