The ideal candidate holds Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document care and administer treatments and medications in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Coordinate care and educate patients and families; participate in performance improvement activities.
• Support orientation and training of new employees and contribute to a positive work environment.
