Job summary

Carilion Travel RN – E/N is a full-time travel nursing position based in Roanoke, Virginia. The role covers multiple disciplines with assignments that vary by facility and patient population.

The travel RN is expected to provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with a diverse health care team, and adapt to changing unit needs. Requirements include nursing degree, Virginia RN licensure, and 2 years of related experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Virginia or eligible for VA licensure.
• Two years of related-field experience; ED experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across disciplines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop age-appropriate care plans.
• Deliver care with compassion, protect patient rights, and maintain confidentiality.
• Utilize electronic medical records to document care and communicate with the team.
• Mentor new staff and participate in unit and system improvement activities.
