Job summary

The RN in the Emergency Department at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA, works full-time evening and night shifts 7pm–7am with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care across specialties, collaborate with the healthcare team, document in EMR, and support patient education while advancing quality and safety in a dynamic care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Keyboarding skills and computer literacy? (from requirements)
• Electronic medical records experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across age groups.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document in EMR.
• Administer treatments and medications accurately and document.
• Support education for patients and families; participate in quality initiatives.
