Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 36-hour variable night schedule in Boston. The RN will plan and provide comprehensive patient care for acutely ill adults and geriatric patients, in accordance with nursing standards and department guidelines.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, have 2+ years of RN experience, and possess ACLS/BLS certification. The role requires strong assessment, communication, and teamwork within a dynamic ED

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• ACLS/BLS certification commonly required or preferred.
• Experience in emergency department or acute care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned patients in the ED.
• Administer medications safely and according to policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and care teams to ensure quality care.
• Participate in unit-based and organizational quality improvement initiatives.
