Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health in Maryland, invites an experienced RN leader to oversee daily Emergency Department operations and drive excellence in patient care. The role partners with two RN Managers and educators to lead a ~98 FTE ED team, focusing on safe, efficient, and compassionate service.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license for Maryland with BLS, 3-5 years of nursing leadership, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 24/7 Emergency Department operations.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Monitor quality, safety, staffing, and financial performance.
• Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.
