UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking an experienced RN to join the Emergency Department team on a per diem basis. This Level 1 Trauma Center serves adults and pediatrics and operates across two units, Main ED and Pediatric ED.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts, no on-call, and a commitment to safe, holistic patient care. Qualifications include NC RN licensure, ACLS/PALS/CPI/TNCC certifications (will be provided during training), at least one year of nursing experience, and strong

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Licensed RN in North Carolina.
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Education: identify learning needs and provide patient education.
Evaluation of Care: align plan of care with expected outcomes.
Implementation: care of patients with complex problems using standard procedures.
Leadership: support goals and promote collaboration within the unit.
Patient Assessment: synthesize data to determine priorities for care.
Planning: coordinate with family and resources to update care plans.
Research: engage with current studies to improve practice.
