Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will collaborate with medical providers to implement established nursing models and advocate for patients and families, ensuring clear communication and compassionate support.

You will assess pain, perform ordered procedures, educate patients and families about conditions and treatment plans, and help prepare for self-management

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of applicable RN experience.
• Current RN license in state of practice or compact license.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days; ACLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Prepare patients for self-management and lifestyle changes.
