Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Registered Nurse with ER experience to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced environment. You will collaborate with medical providers and care teams, assess pain, perform procedures, educate patients and families, and document care per established standards.

You will engage in ongoing clinical education and leverage staffing support, technology, and resources to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ER RN experience required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents care in the patient medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Educates patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow-up measures.
• Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
