Job summary

Qualifications

• ACLS within 60 days of employment start date.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of employment start date.
• PALS within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN with two years of ER experience.
• Associate/Bachelor RN degree or Diploma

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about condition, status, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Teach non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet and exercise and prepare for self-management.
