Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking an Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The RN will work with physicians and the care team to implement established nursing models and promote an exceptional patient experience and outcomes.

The role emphasizes pain management, timely documentation, proactive patient advocacy, and education for patients and families about conditions, treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of applicable experience is required.
• Active nursing license in the practicing state and/or a valid compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as ordered by physician.
• Documents care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Provides exceptional care by addressing patient requests promptly.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
