Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball in Tomball, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, assess pain, document care, educate patients and families, and support self-management after discharge.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma, BSN preferred, 1 year experience, active RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year applicable experience required.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice or has an active compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to plan and implement care.
• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management.
• Document care in the patient medical record promptly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Support patient self-management and discharge planning.
