Job summary

Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services shift 2pm–11pm, weekdays only. You will provide professional bedside nursing care, using critical thinking and independent judgment across all nursing processes.

You will collaborate with the care team, document patient progress in the EMR, educate patients and families, participate in performance improvement activities, and maintain infection prevention standards in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing program.
• Current licensure in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS from ARC or AHA, ACLS and PALS certification.
• TNCC certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs nursing care and evaluates outcomes.
• Conducts initial and ongoing assessments and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient.
• Documents patient care, patient condition, reactions and response to treatment in a timely manner.
• Uses technology including EMR and follows infection prevention standards.
• Educates patients and family members and documents accordingly.
• Participates in unit based performance improvement activities and staff meetings.
• Adheres to Oaklawn Hospital mission, vision, values and ethical guidelines.
