Job summary

Allina Health's Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids is seeking an Emergency Room RN to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team in a Level 2 Trauma Center. You will assess, stabilize and respond to emergencies, delivering advanced care across a 38-bed ED for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Required RN licensure in MN (or WI if applicable), and ED experience. ACLS/ALS and TNCC/PALS certifications may be needed within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if MN; WI license required if WI.
• ACLS or ALS certification required (or in-house ACLS training within 60 days)
• TNCC/EMT/EMS experience or certification may be required per site
• PALS certification required within 180 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs; establish plan of care.
• Maintain education and competencies to provide high quality patient care.
• Coordinate, delegate and collaborate to ensure safe, effective care.
• Lead unit operations and mentor orientees as applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
