Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Department nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER. The role requires age-appropriate nursing practices and coordinating care with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities include documentation, observing patient status, following orders, and managing admissions, discharges and transfers. Active RN licensure in Texas and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required, with TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions (Texas license if posting is in TX).
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care.
• Complete accurate documentation in medical records.
• Observe, record signs and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering care.
• Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policy.
• Maintain infection control and confidentiality.
