Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Carson, CA is seeking a skilled Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient/family centered care in the Emergency Department, following the Watson Model of Care.

Reporting to the Clinical Unit Supervisor, you will organize, plan, and direct 12-hour shifts, perform assessments, document care, and collaborate with care managers to coordinate discharges. Knowledge of ED care and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• Current California Nursing license (RN).
• ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and SBAR handoffs between shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for an ED population.
• Collaborate with Care Managers for interdisciplinary discharge planning.
• Maintain regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
