Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role requires assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care with a focus on interdisciplinary coordination.

The position requires an active RN license in the practice state, BLS certification, and experience in ED or high acuity settings. BSN preferred; one year of RN experience minimum. 36 hours per week, full-time, shifts vary.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status for the patient and family, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan: Develops an individualized care plan with active patient, family, and team involvement.
• Implement: Directs care delivery through delegation and coordination while managing time and resources.
• Evaluate: Reviews goals and outcomes, revises the care plan as needed and reassesses changes.
• Professionalism: Maintains ethical standards, accurate documentation, and compliance with licensure provisions.
