Job summary

Emerus seeks an experienced ER nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department. You will apply advanced clinical nursing knowledge to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role requires current RN licensure, 2+ years in ER, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; TNCC preferred. English fluency is required, and PA clearances may be necessary where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years full-time RN ER or similar experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in written and spoken form.
• PA Act 33 and Act 73 clearances may be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate ER nursing care with advanced skills.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation of medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policy and CLIA/COLA rules.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in care delivery.
• Handle admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures in the ER.
