Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This 12-hour shift role focuses on delivering patient- and family-centered care, utilizing the Watson model and SBAR handoffs to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active California RN license, with ED experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; EMR experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Minimum 1 year ED nursing experience; California RN license.
• Current California Nursing license required; Basic EKG competence.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred; Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care on a defined unit.
• Organize, plan, direct, and coordinate care over 12-hour shifts.
• Document and communicate using SBAR during handoffs.
• Monitor changes in patient condition and adjust care plan accordingly.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers and physicians.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to regulatory standards.
