Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care medical-surgical experience (or equivalent) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• PALS certification preferred, required within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Systematically assesses the health status of the patient.
• Analyzes and interprets data and makes nursing judgments regarding care.
• Plans, implements and coordinates nursing interventions.
• Evaluates outcome of nursing interventions.
• Documents nursing process clearly and concisely.
• Communicates nursing plan effectively.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective care.
• Develops relationships with patients and families and acts as a patient advocate.
