Job summary

This temporary assignment supports the ED during peak demand and ensures quality patient care across shifts. Must hold Louisiana RN licensure with LSBN and current AHA BLS; ACLS, CPI, and PALS are required, with new grads needing to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana nursing license and LSBN definition.
• AHA BLS certification current.
• ACLS, CPI, and PALS current; new grads must obtain within 6 months.
• TNCC (CHNOLA and UMC ERs only) ENPC can substitute for PALS at UMC or EJMC ERs.

Responsibilities

• Provide and evaluate patient care per standards and policies.
• Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel.
