UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, using the nursing process to plan and deliver care.

You will assess patients, develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning, document care, and collaborate with physicians and other health professionals. A BSN is preferred; current MA licensure and BLS are required; ACLS if current. Signing bonuses may apply.

Formación

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Current MA nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS and unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures as required.
• Participates in Nursing Governance and quality improvement initiatives.
