Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital, part of the Prime Healthcare network, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift (7:00 p.m.

– 7:30 a.m.) role requires strong patient care, rapid assessment, and effective communication with physicians. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• BLS, ALS, PALS/ENPC certifications required or within specified timelines.
• CEN certification preferred; BSN preferred.
• Facility requirements include ECRN/MICN within 12 months; EDAP/NRP/ TNCC as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and document results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure EMTALA compliance.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

BLS certificate

ALS certificate

PALS certificate and/or ENPC

CEN certification (preferred)

BSN (preferred)

ECRN or MICN within 12 months

EDAP certification (if required)

NRP certification (within 90 days)

TNCC certification (within 12 months; TNCC preferred for non-trauma)
