Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in both Augusta and Waterville, ME. The APP will perform front-end, rapid evaluations with the triage nurse to facilitate timely care.

The candidate must have completed an accredited APP program, hold an active Maine license, and possess BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with a minimum of 5 years’ ED experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited APP program.
• Active Maine Advanced Practitioner's license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in an ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end, rapid evaluations of patients in conjunction with the triage nurse to facilitate care.
• Make rapid decisions about care.
• Join a 24/7 Emergency Department team with physicians and physician assistants.
