Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX is seeking an Emergency Room RN to deliver rapid, skilled care to patients seeking emergency medical attention. ER RNs provide triage, direct patient care, and play a critical role in stabilizing patients.

Shift is nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with Full-time employment and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Requirements include current State RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and basic arrhythmia interpretation; ER

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly.
• Provide direct care including medications, wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain.
• Stabilize patients and initiate life-saving interventions, including ACLS, PALS, and trauma care.
• Manage high-stress and rapidly changing situations, staying calm, focused, and decisive.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
