Emerus in Pittsburgh seeks an ER Registered Nurse for night shifts in a small-format hospital. This PRN/casual role focuses on assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Department.

The facility houses 18 beds (8 ER, 10 inpatient) and offers night differential, parking, and strong collaboration with health system partners. The role requires 2+ years ER RN experience, PA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in PA, without sanctions.
• 2+ years of full-time ER RN experience or equivalent.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency for written and verbal communication.
• PA Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care in ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Monitor and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and assist with procedures and labs.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and assist with diagnostic/treatment procedures.
