Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for mid-shift coverage in Tustin, CA. This Full Time role requires CA RN licensure, ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of one year in emergency nursing, with the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will deliver rapid assessment and critical care in a fast-paced ED, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and support discharge planning and patient education to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• One year of previous emergency nursing experience (to include EMTALA and ESI 5 level triage as RN in the Emergency Department).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekend, and holiday.
• De-escalation certification upon hire; Upon recertification, SAMA Certification required.
• SAMA Certification upon hire.
• Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs, planning and implementing evidence-based interventions, evaluating patient responses to treatment, and continually adjusting care plans.
• The ED RN demonstrates proficiency in addressing the psychosocial, physical, developmental, and cognitive needs of patients and their families across the lifespan.
• The nurse also facilitates discharge planning, patient education, and appropriate referrals to support continuity of care beyond the emergency department.
