Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group's MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Our ED serves a diverse patient population with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RN uses evidence-based practices to develop plans of care and support family needs. Night shift with weekend/holiday rotation. BSN preferred; CT RN license required.

Qualifications

• BSN (preferred)
• Current CT RN license
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment.
• Self-directed in the management of patient care.
• Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in the ED using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans.
• Follow the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Develop and implement plans of care to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of patients and families.
