Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Plainfield, CT. The role involves delivering patient-centered care within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team and utilizing evidence-based nursing practices to support safe patient outcomes.

The position requires critical care RN experience, state licensure, and ability to obtain ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI certifications within 90 days. A night shift is described in the posting and a sign-on bonus is noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year of critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS, TNCC, PALS and CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain moderate sedation within 9 months of hire.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Certified Emergency Nurse or Pediatric/Neonatal certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and state nursing practice acts; support department goals.
