Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the Night Shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hecktown Oaks in Easton, PA. This full-time role requires assessment, planning, and coordination of care for acute patients, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

You will provide education to patients and families, participate in performance improvement, and demonstrate leadership while delivering

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.

Responsabilités

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Recognizes the need for and initiates collaboration/communication with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Synthesizes available data to make decisions that optimize patient outcomes based on standards of practice.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient and family education throughout treatment.
• Works as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals.
• Performs technical skills and uses technology to enhance care delivery.
• Demonstrates leadership and team building, mentoring new colleagues and participating in precepting.
