Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking an Emergency RN to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. You will be the primary coordinator of care, support discharge planning and educate patients and families based on age and culture.

The role requires critical thinking, remaining calm in stressful conditions, and fulfilling licensure and certification requirements including Kentucky RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Kentucky required on hire.
• BLS provider certification required within 45 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 12 months of employment; PALS required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assesses discharge planning needs and educates patient and family.
• Performs duties in accordance with Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.
